The Amsterdam Sacred Harp singers warmly invite you to our All-Day Singing in Amsterdam!
Sacred Harp is an a cappella community singing tradition that started in the 19th century in the United States. It’s loud, fun, and everyone can do it! We will sing from the 1991 Denson edition of the Sacred Harp; loaner copies will be available.
Location
Our venue will be the Weteringkerk, Veluwelaan 20, 1079 RA Amsterdam.

For everyone who wants to join us for a social in the evening. We meet at 19.00 hrs at Café de Jaren, Nieuwe Doelenstraat 20, 1012 CP Amsterdam, for dinner/drinks.
On the Friday evening before, there will be a Shenandoah Harmony singing from 19:30-21:30 in the Jeruzalemkerk, Jan Maijenstraat 14. Afterward we’ll go to a nearby cafĂ©.
On Sunday we aren’t planning anything.
Accommodation
We’ll do our best to arrange accommodation for visiting singers, contact us if you need this.
Transport
Europaplein metro station (line 52) is a 10-minute walk from our venue, as is RAI railway station. Bus 62 stop Maasstraat is closest.
Jeruzalemkerk: tram 7 or 13, or bus 15 or 18 to Mercatorplein.
De Jaren: metro 52 or tram 4 or 14 to Rokin.

Parking
Parking near the venue costs 5,18 euro per hour. We can arrange a cheaper rate (1,81 euro per hour, only near the Weteringkerk) for a limited number of car users, please contact us for that before 31 March. Cheaper rates are also available at 20 minutes walking distance.
